Learnings

I have worked over projects delivering new solutions or process adjustments for 20 years. I learned a lot over that time, but the key lesson was that you should do only this what deliver a value. This value should be understood and visible in the way that you as main performed see the sense of doing the job.

Value, as per definition is a measure of the benefit that may be gained from goods or service. Indeed, in simple words, there must be something to take from after you put something in. Ideally the benefit should be higher. If that equation is filled you feel satisfaction, feeling of winning and accomplishment.

Not every initiative I took part was having sense, even common sense. Sometimes, this sense was intuitionally hidden, or when you could relate to cause of the project it was stop for higher cause.

Looking for value

There is no way you will always fully understand the situation, but you should strive to find this cause and work in that way that your work valuable to people around you.

There are various project management methods, productive habits, agile frameworks or design thinking and lean startup approaches. You may read about it, learn and push for applying. But, what is bringing real effect? How to combine all of it together? When to apply them? How to understand if you go in right direction? So, many questions to make the set up successful.

Here, you should find answers. “Go for value” intention will be to provide knowledge & experience of managers, facilitators and practitioners in easy to understand way, ready to be used next day in your day to day business live.

The more you share the more you have

I was being taught to use exactly particular method, on another time completely opposite, mix of them. Sometimes, I was forced to get in politics, another time politics was killing sense of deliverables. There were times were poor-value results were sold as great success, other times great delivered value was not even appreciated. I developed myself to manage initiatives, teams and organisations to focus on real value, customer value, what was driving my own successes.

I see strong need in professionals to find the way how to focus on real value and achieving real results. This made me changing the path of my professional life into independent consulting where I am able to choose the valuable projects and define own effective ways of working. Nowadays, apart of consulting job, I wish to share my learnings and findings and, if all will fortunately turn around to develop such virtual place like mine of valuable learnings.
